How to Enjoy New Year’s Eve, in Tuscany

Everyone has asked you so many times that you have grown tired of that question: what are you doing for New Year’s Eve? If you don’t know the answer yet, do not worry! Tuscany is a region with plenty of things and ideas on how to spend this magical day and see the New Year!

2018 in the Cities

Siena and Florence are two of the most beatiful places of Tuscany, and that does not change during New Year’s Eve.

Siena will be packed with music and performances, with a toast on the central Piazza del Campo. You will be also able to enjoy circus shows, food and wine tastings while waiting for 2018. Particularly on Piazza del Campo, a great Italian band will perform a live concert: Bandabardò. It’s the best way to feel joy, music and dances.

Florence is offering countless free concerts all over town centre, in its most wonderful squares. In particular, there will be a great live concert in Piazzale Michelangelo, with two top Italian artists like Ermal Meta and Morgan (former judge of X-Factor Italy). Then you will enjoy the toast for the new year! But Florence has more and more to offer, since you could simply walk in the anciet streets and find that there are so many events to greet 2018.

2018 in the Country

If you are more into nature than cities, you can go for the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste del Casentino. There you will see the New Year in an alpine-stule hut. Celebrate the 2018 among friends while watching the fire, tasting mulled wine and tell stories.

In Bagno a Ripoli, a town near Florence, there will be a kind of medieval-style New Year’s Eve with a dinner and a masked Capodanno. It is an original way to greet 2018 with a taste of history and a taste of Tuscany.
